Every great restaurant starts somewhere… and for “AJ Barile’s Chicago Beef & Pizza Co.” that somewhere is fortunately for Yucaipa, right across the street from the Yucaipa Sizzler Restaurant, in a strip mall. The little pizza shop presently only seats a dozen, or so people… has no room for games, and does not serve beer of wine (however we have been told they may be able to expand the seating area in the near future). The good news is that when you start out small you tend to compensate in many other ways… and trust “The Wright Gourmet” on this one, “AJ Barile’s” excels in just about every other possible way !

The "Small Size" thing aside, “AJ Barile’s Chicago Beef & Pizza Co.” in fact is really big in many ways… They are Big on Quality, Huge on Taste, and Fanatical about Consistency and Cleanliness… not to mention big on service with a side serving of attitude (you rapidly come to enjoy); but when you serve up some of the best pizza in the Inland Empire, you can afford to have fun with a little (lot) good natured attitude!

“The Wright Gourmet's” prediction; “AJ Barile’s Chicago Beef & Pizza Co.” is going to earn “Best Pizza” awards
from every food and restaurant critic, news paper and magazine that takes the time to review their pizzas. I believe their pizza is honestly that good!

OK Ed, The Wright Gourmet is "Right On" again. We drove from Redlands, passing up Gourmet Pizza just to try this Pizza Joint you rave about. It really does make the best pizza we have tasted. Exceptional Pizza, and the owner's attitude is a hoot (It seems they imported him from Chicago along with all of their meats and stuff).

We highly recommend everyone try "A.J. Barile’s Chicago Beef & Pizza," it is only minutes further down the road from Redlands, but the Pizza is Miles Better!

"A.J. Barile’s Chicago Beef & Pizza" makes the best thin crust Pizza we have ever had. We told them that Ed Wright referred us. They do seem to know who The Wright Gourmet is and love to share about how they import their ingredients from Chicago for that "REAL CHICAGO" Taste, not just Chicago "STYLE" Pizza. I did not know the difference, but you can sure taste it and the owners sure enjoy telling you about it. FUN PLACE, but they need more room. They get packed and busy very fast.

Honestly the best Pizza in the area, and the pricing is very reasonable. The serving size of their sandwiches must be seen to be believed. Well worth the drive from wherever. We will be going back, and recommend "Barile’s Chicago Style Pizza" to all our friends.

Just as "The Wright Gourmet" has reviewed... "THE BEST PIZZA" in the Inland Empire. Our only complaint is that they leave a little to much crust area for our liking, but other than that were generous with the toppings, and make a pizza that is amazingling good! Even the crust tastes good! We need an “AJ Barile’s Pizza” in Redlands, THEY ARE THE BEST!

This restaurant came so highly recommended that I am not sure what I expected to find when we arrived, but it was surely not what we found. AJ Barile's Chicago Pizza Co. is in a little strip mall set back far enough from Yucaipa Blvd. we drove right on past it, and ended up at Danny's Pizza before we realized that Danny's could not possibly be the same restaurant Ed Wright had described to us, so we asked! Embarrassing, but they told us where Chicago Pizza was, and we left Danny's to drive back down the blvd.

When we arrived we found a tiny little pizza and sandwich type shop we assume must do the majority of it's business by take out because it has so few seats and customers just kept coming in and picking up takeout.

We were blown away by all the menu possibilities but settled on a calzone for our kids and a Chicago Pizza "Special" thin crust pizza combo for ourselves.

The service was friendly but busy. We were a bit over welmed with all of the pictures of Chicago diners and stuff on the walls. Kind of interesting to look at while you wait; and the wait did seem a bit onthe long side.

If we have any complaints it would be about how busy the little pizza place gets; they need more room.

When our food arrived we were blown away at the size of the calzone; it is about the size of a medium pizza folded in half, and overflowing with fillings. Exceptional! Our kids loved it.

Our pizza was a little disappointing, and we are going to have to talk with thw Wright Gourmet about this; It was so good that it has ruined our ability to enjoy pizza from anywhere else. The pizza is fantastic; THE BEST! We will be back; and we live in Banning. Great recommendation Ed!

The pizza and hotdogs are great, but the owner acts like he has a corn cob stuck up his ass.

We're in California dude. We come here to get away from steriotypical people like yourself. I found his attitude a bit insulting.

I took a friend and my son to AJ Barile's Pizza Co. last night and had the worst experience with customer service that I have ever had in my life, plus the prices are way too high. We ordered 2 small pizzas, 6 mild chicken wings, and 3 regular drinks and it cost a whopping $45.00. Then to make matters worse, the server brought my son the wrong order. They brought him the hot wings instead of the mild ones. When we asked the owner if she could correct the order, she insisted that the wings were mild. She didn't even look at them, smell them, or taste them. She refused to correct the order or give us a refund. When the server came by a little later and asked if everything was OK, we explained what happened. The pizza tastes great, but the wings were not what we ordered. The server asked if she could smell the wings and when she did she said that they were definately not mild and they were the hot wings. She said she was sure of this because she orders them all the time for herself. She said she would ask the owner about it and see if there was something she could do. She came back to our table and told us her boss, the owner, yelled at her. She said she was worried she might get fired. What kind of service is that? Horrible!!!! I can only assume that if she keeps treating her customers this way, her business will not do well at all. Maybe the prices are really high because we noticed a new huge Hummer parked in the parking lot with the company logo on it. They are probably proud to show off their vehicle, but in these hard economic times, owning such a wasteful vehicle is disgusting! . . . . and whoever decides to eat at their restaurant is supporting their expensive taste. I hope and pray that our server, who was really sweet, does not get fired, but it would not surprise me if she does. SHAME ON YOU, OWNER OF AJ BARILE'S CHICAGO PIZZA CO in Yucaipa!!!!
